He founded the well known Clonfort Monastery and is believed to have traveled throughout Ireland, Scotland, Brittany and Wales spreading the word of God. He is largely known for the tales of his travels found in the medieval manuscript ?Voyage of Saint Brendan? in which he and a group of monks traveled the seas, some say even to the America?s!
