The McCallum Long Polypenco practice chanter has holes that approximate the spacing of the holes on a pipe chanter. The holes are countersunk to make them easier to feel. The chanter is easy to reed and has a very nice tone and feel. The McCallum polypenco chanters all have a nice matte finish that is more pleasant than the smooth plastic on many polypenco practice chanters. Chanters with the traditional imitation ivory sole also come with a ferrule made of imitation ivory or nickel - the imitation ivory is pictured.
