Dunbar Long Practice Chanter with Nickel Ferrule Sole. The Dunbar Long Practice chanter is a very popular practice chanter. The holes have a spacing that approximates those on the pipe chanter and are countersunk to make them easier to feel. The chanter uses O-rings for the joint between the top and bottom of the chanter, eliminating the need to wrap your own joints. The chanter is also very easy to reed and has a very pleasant tone. Since the additional length is in the bottom section this means that like most other "Long" Practice Chanters its pitch will be lower than for the Dunbar "Regular" Practice Chanter.
