The McCallum Long Blackwood practice chanter has holes that have the traditional pipe chanter spacing, so that you do not have to adjust your finger positions when changing between the practice chanter and the pipe chanter. The holes are countersunk to make them easier to feel. The chanter is easy to reed and has a very nice tone and feel. The sound is very mellow and superior to that of polypenco chanters. The chanter comes with a nickel ferrule and an imitation ivory sole.
